Kamimi, I don’t think there’s anything specific that causes large areolas. Just like big breasts, some women get them, some don’t. Although, it is true that during pregnancy, your areolas do get larger, but that goes away eventually. Just be proud that you have them, there are MANY men that love them.

My breasts look exactly like this woman’s except I am black so my areolas are darker, I’ve been looking all over the internet for advice and writeups on what causes large areolas but I have never found any… every site I see is for plastic surgery and makes it sound like they are a “problem caused by pregnancy” but I had them from the time I was a kid..

I remember at 13 when my breast started growing.. they began as cones growing straight out but with extremely large areolas… it was so embarrassing.. then they eventually started to drop and got stretch marks, i never breast fed or was never pregnant and they only seemed to stop growing when i was 23, i’m 27 now.
i’m a 34 c . it seems like some people are just born with breasts that even though they look like they will be firm when they first start out (mine were literally sticking at a 90 degree angle out of my chest! cones!) are meant to “sag” and sagging breasts seem to be prone to developing large areolas
